FOUNDING PILOT COHORT · OCTOBER 2026 – FEBRUARY 2027
Teachers need practice too.
Stressless CI Practice Lab
A guided practice space for language teachers who want to turn CI techniques into real teaching skills.
12 live sessions · Small group · Hands-on practice
How the Lab works
You’ve attended the workshops. You’ve watched the demos. You’ve collected the ideas. But knowing a technique and being able to use it naturally in the classroom are two different things.
The Stressless CI Practice Lab is where we practise: a small, supportive group where language teachers come together to experiment with Comprehensible Input, practise concrete teaching moves, receive focused feedback — and try again.
01
Experience
Experience the technique as a learner. I model techniques in Serbian, so you experience CI as a real beginner, whatever language you teach.
02
Notice
Unpack what happened and what made it work.
03
Practise
Try one specific teaching move.
04
Feedback
The group shares observations and constructive feedback.
05
Retry
Try the same move again with one small adjustment.
06
Classroom
Take the technique into your own teaching and experiment with it.
You’ll teach. You’ll observe. You’ll experiment. You’ll get feedback. And you’ll get another try.
This isn’t another course about CI. It’s a place to actually do it.

Who it is for
WHO CAN JOIN?
This practice space is for language teachers of any language.
You don’t need to teach a particular level, follow a particular method or already consider yourself a “CI teacher”.
New to CI?
You’re welcome. No previous CI or TPRS training is required. You’ll experience the techniques first and build your skills gradually.
Already using CI?
Also welcome. This is a chance to slow down, practise specific teaching moves, observe other teachers, experiment and get feedback from the group.
Teaching any language?
Yes. The skills we practise are not language-specific. You’ll practise the principles and adapt them to your own language and teaching context.
Not currently teaching?
That’s fine too. You don’t need an active classroom to participate. The sessions themselves give you a space to practise.
The group can include teachers with different languages, contexts and levels of CI experience.
That’s part of the point.
We’re not here to prove how much CI we know.
We’re here to practise teaching.
About the facilitator
Ivana Krgović
Language teacher · CI/TPRS practitioner · facilitator
I’m not here as a CI expert with one “right” way to teach.
I’m a language teacher who has been exploring, practising and refining Comprehensible Input and TPRS in my own teaching since 2019.
I hold a Master’s degree in Romance Studies and a Master’s degree in Serbian as a Foreign Language, and I have more than 20 years of experience teaching languages.
My professional development has included two years of structured TPRS training, as well as numerous CI/TPRS workshops, seminars and conferences. I have trained with and attended sessions led by educators including Blaine Ray, Liam Printer, Helena Colinet and Adriana Ramírez, and participated in professional learning events and communities such as Didactas, CI Reboot, Conference in the Cloud and the CI Conference in Agen.
These experiences have given me opportunities to explore different approaches to comprehensible input, storytelling, interaction, personalisation and reading — and, most importantly, to keep experimenting with them in my own classroom.
But this Lab isn’t built around the idea that I have all the answers.
It grew from something much simpler:
Teachers need a place to practise.
My role is to create that space: to bring structures and ideas we can experiment with, model techniques through language, and facilitate observation, feedback and reflection.
We practise together.
We notice what happens.
We learn from each other.
And then we try again.

FAQ
Is this a CI or TPRS training course?
Not exactly. We’ll practise skills and techniques commonly used in CI and TPRS classrooms, but this isn’t a certification course and it doesn’t promote one “correct” way of teaching.
Think of it as a practice Lab for language teachers — a place to experiment, observe, get feedback and try again.
I’m completely new to CI/TPRS. Can I join?
Absolutely. No previous CI or TPRS training is required.
You’ll experience techniques as a learner first, and we’ll build gradually from small teaching moves towards interaction, personalisation, co-creation, stories and reading.
I already use CI/TPRS. Will this be too basic?
Not necessarily.
Knowing a technique and having time to deliberately practise it are two different things. The Lab gives you a chance to slow down, focus on specific teaching moves, observe other teachers, experiment and try things differently.
Different levels of experience are welcome — and part of the value comes from learning from each other.
Do I need to teach a particular language?
No. Teachers of any language are welcome.
The Lab is facilitated in English, but the teaching skills we practise are not language-specific.
Why is the modelling in Serbian?
Because most participants probably won’t speak it — and that’s useful.
Instead of only talking about comprehensible input from a teacher’s perspective, you’ll experience it as a learner.
You can notice what helps you understand, what makes you want to respond, when you feel lost and what brings you back.
Then we look at that experience through our teacher lens.
You don’t need to know any Serbian.
Do I need to be currently teaching?
No.
If you have a classroom, you can experiment with ideas between sessions and bring your experiences back to the Lab.
If you’re not currently teaching, you’ll still have opportunities to practise within the group.
Will I have to teach in front of everyone?
You’ll be invited to practise — because practice is the point of the Lab.
But this is practice, not performance.
Getting stuck, changing direction, experimenting and trying again are all part of the process. The Lab is designed as a supportive space for doing exactly that.
Who gives the feedback?
We do — as a group.
We observe, share what we experienced and offer focused, constructive feedback to each other.
My role is to facilitate the process, provide structure and help keep the feedback useful — not to sit in judgement of anyone’s teaching.
What if I miss a session?
Sessions will be recorded, so you can catch up or revisit the practice.
Because this is an interactive practice Lab, being there live whenever possible will give you the most value.
What happens during the January break?
January is our Classroom Experiment month.
There are no live sessions. Instead, you’ll have time to take ideas from the Lab into your own teaching, experiment, notice what happens and bring those experiences back when we meet again in February.
If you don’t currently have a classroom, don’t worry — participation in the Lab doesn’t depend on completing a classroom experiment.
